The PDNC run a number of programs for those living at Puckapunyal and the surrounding area with a focus on Defence families. These programs change from year to year depending on availability of instructors and volunteers. Below is an outline of our current programs.
*Regular Morning Teas & Get Togethers!*
Special Needs Morning Tea
Are held on the 1st Friday of every Month and are held at the PDNC from 9:30am. These sessions are for families who are registered as special needs as well as anyone who may be just beginning the special needs journey.
Community Morning Tea
Are held on 3rd Thursday of the Month at the PDNC from 10am ALL WELCOME. Tea, coffee and a yummy morning tea provided.
Come along to our Ladies Nights and join in on a night full of laughter, fun, drinks and snacks. These events are held every 4 – 6 Weeks for ALL ladies of the Pucka Community .
Please note these are child free events (except newborns)
Open every Thursday 9.30am – 1.30pm and Saturday from 9.30am to 11.30am.
The Op Shop is located next door to the PDNC and has a great variety of children’s, women’s and men’s clothing. There are plenty of toys, books, DVD’s and household goods available for purchase. We offer $5 ‘fill-a-bag’ (shopping bag size) on your choice of clothing only.
Donations can be made at these times or can be dropped off at the PDNC.
Op Shop is run by volunteers, if you would like to volunteer please contact the PDNC.
The Toy Library opened in 2015 with aim to provide the residents of Puckapunyal with access to a fantastic resource of toys. We believe in the importance of play, and aim to bring a wide variety of different and exciting toys and activities to help children learn, grow and enjoy their time living in Puckapunyal. We have a growing collection of quality toys, most of which are brand new, available for our members to borrow regularly. Membership is free for all PDNC members.
We are open Thursday & Saturday mornings during the school term from 9:30 to 11:00am in the building next to the PDNC.

Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm, Monday and Friday mornings at 9:30am at the PDNC
Come and join our instructor Jess for a full body workout. All fitness levels are welcome including pre and post natal. Cost $11 The first session is free.
Monday morning class is child friendly.
Please bring towel , water bottle and yoga mat.
Come and join our amazing instructor Cheryl for this fun dance workout in the DJs building.
Every Tuesday 11am and Thursday at 6:30pm Cost $8 The first session is free.
Real World Karate with Sensai Marleigh
Cubs (3-6 years) Wednesday 5pm at the area gym
Tigers (6-9 years) Wednesday 5.30 – 6pm at the area gym
Panthers 10 and up (mixed ages) Wednesday 6.15 – 7.15pm at the area gym
Tuesday 9:30am and Wednesday 7pm
Come along for a casual hit at the Tennis courts on the corner of Alamein Rd.
Racquets and balls are available to borrow from the PDNC.

DJ’s at The Donovan Joynt VC
Every Friday Night. 5pm – 7pm (Primary School) & 7pm – 10pm (High School)
DJ’s is a safe place for the youth of Puckapunyal to hang out, listen to music, play computer games, X Box, Wii and Pool.
All children must be registered and primary school students must be signed in and out by an adult. Children under 5 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Entry: Gold coin donation per family.
Families must be members of the PDNC to attend.

Tuesdays from 3.45pm to 5pm at the PDNC during the school term.
Lego Club is a great opportunity for Primary School aged children to come together and explore their creativity with our new Lego supplies.
Cost: $4 includes a light afternoon tea.

Thursdays from 4pm to 5pm at the PDNC during the school term for primary school aged children. Afternoon tea included. Cost is $4
Tumble Tots is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm at the Area Gym.
This program is much like Kinder Gym with plenty of fun and enjoyable equipment for the little ones.
Cost $2 per participating child.
Mum’s, Bubs & Bumps
These sessions run fortnightly on an off pay Wednesday at the PDNC from 11.30am and every Monday from 11.30am. Come along and join our wonderful Mothers and Mum’s-to-be for a coffee, tea or cold drink.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get together and share ideas and support each other through the roller coaster ride of parenting. We will also hold some information sessions throughout the year and greatly welcome any suggestions regarding what you would like to see and do as part of this program.
This runs every 2nd Wednesday on Pay week at 11.30am.
This program is provided by the Mitchell Shire Library Service and held at the PDNC.

The shed contains a fully equipped workshop. Work on your own or help out with community projects. Learn from the experts or share your skills.
