About Little Footsteps

 

The PDNC offers Little Footsteps Occasional Care for children aged 6 weeks – 5 years  Monday to Friday from 9:30am until 2:30pm.  Our care providers Norwyn & Janine are all well qualified and adored by the children.

The cost is $30 per child and $20 each for siblings. Parents are required to make a bookingimg_1815 for their child to secure a place. You can contact the centre on (03) 5735 7719.

Please note your booking for Little Footsteps is only confirmed once payment has been made. Fees for Little Footsteps are due on Pay Day Thursday, a fortnight in advance.

Should occasional care not reach the minimum numbers to operate it will not open that day. As a result should you wish your child to attend we strongly advise you to contact the Centre to book in.

Enrolment forms are available at the PDNC.

Little Footsteps is governed by Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) and as such is bound by the NO JAB NO PLAY legislation. Children MUST be up to date with all Vaccinations to be enrolled in this service. We request upon enrolment, you provide your child’s immunisation certificate obtained through Medicare.

THE CENTRE IS A NUT FREE ZONE,  THIS INCLUDES NUTELLA AND PEANUT BUTTER.

 

What to bring….

The following items need to be brought with your child/children when attending the centre in a clearly named bag:                          

Clothing:  A spare change of clothes

Hat: Wide brim or legionnaire hat all year round.  Beanies are accepted during the months of May and September.

Sunscreen: Please apply sunscreen on your child before attending the session. If there is  a preferred brand or if the child has an allergy or sensitivity to certain brands please supply a named bottle to the staff for reapplication.

Nappies:  Parents must provide enough nappies and baby wipes for their child’s session. Cloth or disposable are acceptable.

Bottles: Adequate number of prepared labelled bottles of  milk.

Toys:  Comfort toys are welcomed at all times. Please insure that these are named. Please leave all other toys at home. We discourage violent toys and play

Water Bottle: A labelled water bottle. The centre encourages healthy eating and drinking, please ensure your child only has water in their drink bottles.

Snacks:  Parents are to provide a healthy snack for morning tea/lunch in a named lunchbox/container,  these can be placed in the fridge on arrival.

We recommend the following:

Sandwiches; A piece of fruit or dried fruit; cheese, yoghurt, rice cakes or savoury biscuits.
